Henrik Ibsen

Well, the author of a Doll House is Henrik Johan Ibsen. He was a major Norwegian playwright largely responsible for the rise of modern realistic drama. He is often referred to as the "father of modern drama." He is also held to be the greatest of Norwegian authors and one of the most important playwrights of all time, celebrated as a national symbol by Norwegians.

I think this picture symbolizes Nora being controlled like a puppet by Krogstad.  Also it can mean she is being controlled by Helmer to make him happy.

Act One

Nora is a very sneaky person because she will do what she needs to get what she wants.  I believe Nora is all about money.  She forged her husband's signature, and no knew about it except one person.  This one person's name is Krogstad.  Krogstad is known for doing bad things.  He got caught forging a signature, and for this he got fired from his job at the bank by Helmer.

Helmer is Nora's husband, and he is planning to open up a bank after New Year's Eve.  Hermer treats Nora like a little girl by calling her names like feather brain, squirrel, etc.  Nora likes this because her father treated her the same way.  Krogstad is blackmailing Nora, but she doesn't know what to do.  Nora doesn't want to see her children because she is afraid she will curse them.
